

Everyday the Firm advises brokers regarding compliance with some aspect of brokerage law. We work with a full range of brokers from new brokers just starting out in the property management field to experienced brokers that are tackling a unique or challenging situation. Our daily work in this area provides our clients with a valuable resource that they need, a law firm that serves their profession. Our attorneys have also volunteered their time and expertise to assist the Colorado Real Estate Commission in developing forms and position statements that address the needs of property management industry.
The Department of Regulatory Agencies Division of Real Estate is focused on protecting consumers and balancing the needs of the licensees they regulate. Failure to comply with Colorado Real Estate Commission regulations can create liability for both individuals and companies. Third party fee management companies and brokers can come to the attention of the Division or Real Estate in several ways. Anyone can file a complaint against a licensee or property management company, or a company can be chosen by the Commission for a random audit. The Firm’s foremost goal is to bring clients into compliance to minimize the risk of Commission-related issues developing. In the event that there is a complaint, clients that follow our advice are always in the strongest position to demonstrate their compliance with the State of Colorado’s laws and regulations.
